Brakes For Less — Stop & Go Car Care Center

A RARE SENIOR LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

DIRECTOR OF MULTI-LOCATION
AUTOMOTIVE OPERATIONS

I’m Looking for the Other Half of My Professional Soul.

This is not a traditional automotive management position.

Stop & Go Car Care—Home of Brakes For Less—is a family-built automotive company with more than five decades of history. We operate across Louisiana, Alabama, and South Carolina, and we are preparing to build the company’s next chapter.

I am searching for an exceptional automotive operations leader who can help carry that future beside me.

WHY THIS POSITION EXISTS

MORE THAN FIVE DECADES IN THE MAKING

I was raised in this business.

Long before I understood the words entrepreneurship, ownership, or leadership, my parents were teaching me what they meant.

They taught me that customers remember how you treat them. They taught me that leadership requires responsibility. They taught me that a business can support generations of families—but only when somebody cares enough to protect it.

Today, we are strengthening our systems, developing our people, growing our marketing platform, and preparing Stop & Go Car Care—Home of Brakes For Less—for its next chapter.

Our long-term vision is to grow to 75 locations over the next five years through strong company operations and carefully developed franchise owners.

The vision is here.

The history is here.

The brand, locations, knowledge, and opportunity are here.

Now I need the person who can help me turn that vision into consistent execution.

THE ACTUAL POSITION

THE EXPERIENCE THIS REQUIRES

A minimum of 10 years of substantial automotive management experience is required.

Multi-location, district, regional, fixed-operations, or comparable senior automotive leadership experience is strongly preferred.

The right candidate must understand automotive sales, workflow, labor, parts, technician productivity, inspections, customer communication, financial performance, recruiting, manager development, local business development, and operational accountability.

You do not necessarily have to be the person turning every wrench.

But you must understand the business, and you must know how to lead the people who do.

HOW THIS POSITION WORKS

This is a full-time, company-wide leadership position working directly with ownership.

The Director of Multi-Location Automotive Operations will help develop store managers, strengthen operational consistency, improve performance, protect company standards, and build the systems required for responsible growth.

Regular travel between company operations in Louisiana, Alabama, and South Carolina will be required. The final home-base arrangement will be discussed with qualified candidates.

This position carries meaningful responsibility and requires someone capable of making decisions, communicating problems honestly, and accepting accountability for results.

THE LEADERSHIP STANDARD

Three Things We Expect.

OWN THE BUSINESS.

Numbers. Sales. Productivity. Customer experience. Profitability.

BUILD THE PEOPLE.

Recruit. Train. Coach. Develop. Hold accountable.

PROTECT THE STANDARD.

Quality. Process. Safety. Customer care. Accountability.

Leadership Philosophy

Leadership Here Isn't a Desk Job.

BFL Stop & Go leaders are expected to understand what's happening in the office AND in the bays — from sales and workflow to inspections, technician productivity, customer communication, and local business development.

Know Your Numbers.
Know Your People.
Know Your Customers.
Know Your Bays.

Operations leader reviewing store performance

We Inspect What We Expect.

Leadership responsibility includes making sure procedures are followed, repairs are appropriately quality checked, customer concerns are handled, and vehicles are ready before leaving. Leaders take responsibility — they don't simply blame employees when something goes wrong.

Business Development

Grow Outside the Four Walls.

Fleets  •  Community  •  Partnerships  •  Local Business Development

Strong operators don't simply manage the business that walks through the door. They help create the next customer.

WHAT YOU COULD BUILD HERE

WHAT THIS COULD BECOME

This is not intended to be a temporary position or another stop on someone’s résumé.

For the right person, this can become one of the most important leadership roles in the company.

I am looking for someone capable of earning extraordinary trust, accepting meaningful responsibility, helping shape our operating model, developing future leaders, and building a company that can eventually extend far beyond its current locations.

Qualified individuals may also separately explore franchise ownership opportunities. Employment does not guarantee franchise approval, ownership, equity, promotion, or advancement into ownership.

The opportunity is real—but it must be earned through leadership, judgment, integrity, performance, and the ability to protect the company when ownership is not standing in the room.

I am not looking for someone to save me.

I am looking for someone strong enough to build beside me.

THE REALITY CHECK

You May Be Who We're Looking For If...

  • You've successfully led multiple automotive locations, a district, a region, or a comparably complex automotive operation.
  • You understand automotive financial and operational KPIs.
  • You've improved an underperforming operation or workflow.
  • You develop store managers, service advisors, and leadership teams.
  • You protect quality control and customer-experience standards.
  • You can walk into disorder and create structure.
  • You hold people accountable without destroying team culture.
  • You can translate ownership’s vision into consistent multi-location execution.

This Probably Isn't for You If...

  • You want to manage entirely from behind a desk.
  • You avoid difficult conversations.
  • You blame the team instead of solving the problem.
  • You want the title without responsibility for the result.
  • You wait for someone above you to solve every problem.

Leadership Here Means Ownership of the Outcome.

A final word

MAYBE I AM TALKING TO YOU

You may be the person I am looking for if you have spent your career knowing you were capable of building something greater than the position someone gave you.

You may be the right person if you are commercially sharp but still deeply human.

You may be the right person if you can protect standards without losing compassion, develop managers without creating dependence, and tell the truth even when it is uncomfortable.

Most importantly, you may be the right person if reading this has created the strange and uncomfortable feeling that I might be talking directly to you.

I am not searching for the most polished résumé.

I am searching for the right human being.

Maybe you have been looking for us, too.
