Why this role matters

The technician can find it. The shop can fix it. But somebody has to communicate it.

You're the connection between the customer and the shop.

You turn inspection findings into conversations.

You turn conversations into decisions.

You help customers understand what their vehicle needs, why it matters and what their options are.

You keep technicians informed.

You keep customers informed.

You keep work moving.

And yes — you sell.

Not by pressuring people into things they don't need.

By confidently presenting legitimate recommendations, explaining value and asking for the business.

This is a sales and customer-service position.

Customer trust matters.

Communication matters.

Organization matters.

And production matters.

Great service advisors help customers say yes to repairs their vehicles actually need.

The customer shouldn't have to chase us for information.

A great Service Advisor knows what's happening, communicates clearly and keeps both the customer and the shop moving.

What we expect

A high standard — without the pressure tactics.

Answer the Phone

Every call is an opportunity to help a customer and potentially put another vehicle in the shop. Answer professionally. Ask questions. Build confidence.

Ask for the appointment.

Present the Whole Vehicle

If the technician identifies legitimate needs, communicate them. Don't decide what the customer can afford. Don't hide recommendations because you're uncomfortable presenting them.

Give the customer the information. Let the customer decide.

Ask for the Business

Don't simply read an estimate and wait. Explain the recommendation. Explain why it matters. Answer questions. Offer available options.

Then ask for the business.

Follow Up

Today's "not right now" can become tomorrow's repair. Document declined work and follow up appropriately.

Know Your Shop

Know which vehicles are waiting. Know what's being inspected. Know what's approved. Know what's being repaired. Know what's finished.

Stay ahead of the customer asking for an update.

Own the Experience

If something goes wrong, don't hide from it. Communicate. Help find a solution. Keep the customer informed.

Be the person customers trust and technicians want at the counter.
